The Walkers Haute Route Chamonix to Zermatt Chamonix to Zermatt, Mont Blanc to the Matterhorn, recipe for a visual feast linking the two great mountaineering centres of the Alps. This hike is 177 Km long crosses 11 passes but can be completed comfortably in 12 to 14 days and is a contender for the most beautiful walk in Europe. It is a high level walkers route of classic proportions but requires no technical mountaineering skills to achieve. You will pass through delightful villages wander through alpine flower meadows and remote Alps hamlets, cross icy streams that lead to exquisite tarns. The path clambers beside glaciers and over lonely passes that never quite reach 3000 meters.

Tour du Mont Blanc The TMB is one of the best of the world's classic walks. It circumnavigates the Mont Blanc Massif. Starting in Chamonix the walk passes from France into Italy, visiting Courmayer then continues onwards to Switzerland and the mountain resort of Champex du Lac. Finally the circle is completed passing over the Col de Balm back into the Chamonix valley.
This walk offers the challenge of ascending to the highest Cols and savouring the scenic grandeur of these superb vantage points. Then in descent enjoying the contrasts of mountain lakes and meadows with possible sightings of chamois and marmot.
The walk is 190 Km long crosses 9 cols and can be comfortably completed in 10 to 12 days
